The F.C. Sturtevant Company launches skincare products based on probiotics

US-based The F.C. Sturtevant Company has expanded its Columbia SkinCare range with the addition of two new products based on topical probiotics.

The new products are Columbia Probiotic Complex and Columbia Probiotic Concentrate. They have been developed to promote clearer skin, decrease sensitivity, redness and inflammation by skin renewal.

The F.C. Sturtevant Company spokesperson Steven Rosenfeld said: "By utilising healthy bacteria, plant stem cells and amino acids, Columbia SkinCare products provide bacterial interference, and protect the skin from bad bacteria and parasites that provoke the immune system, causing such conditions as acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis."

In addition, the new probiotic products are expected to aid in the development of anti-ageing treatments.

F.C. Sturtevant claims that regular use of these products will improve skin luminosity and elasticity while helping reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

The company has secured a provisional patent on the technology used for these products.

In August 2015, the company entered a strategic partnership with a consumer product brokerage firm Elias Shaker & Company to represent the company’s products at national and regional levels.

The company also disclosed plans to rename the brand.

The company also revealed plans to expand its products portfolio with the addition of products such as face and body cleansers, moisturising systems, deodorants and sun protection creams and sprays.
