Two US-based on-demand beauty service providers Priv and beGlammed have announced their merger.
The beauty and wellness providers will expand their national footprint and capitalise on efficiencies which will benefit customers.
Priv founder and chief executive officer of the successding entity Joseph Terzi said: “With five times as many markets and three times as many services as any direct competitor, there is now no question that Priv is the most robust platform in the on-demand beauty and wellness industry.
“beGlammed’s well-established geographic footprint in 32 markets, carefully vetted team of dedicated beauty pros and high touch client service merged with Priv’s fully-integrated technology platform, and more than 500,000 combined registered users, provides a hybrid solution that is abundantly scalable yet retains some of the personal touch that our clients desire.”
The combined entity will be operated under the name Priv. It will have presence in 32 cities and provide unisex beauty services for hair, makeup, nails, spa, fitness as well as other grooming services.
The merged entity will have a network of over 30,000 beauty professionals.
Priv vice president of marketing and business development James Bradicich said: “Our promise is to infuse all the high touch elements of beGlammed and Priv into one unforgettable experience with the ease of technology.
“Our two families are becoming one and will continue to deliver and further build the signature services our clients have come to love.”
The two companies, both founded in 2014, have raised more than $15m during the lifetime of their businesses with repeat investors from the US and Europe.
The merger will position Priv to be a leading player in the on-demand beauty and wellness space in the US.
