





L’Oréal introduced wearable microfluidic sensor prototype for skin
L’Oréal unveiled a prototype of its wearable microfluidic sensor, which measures the pH levels of the skin.
Called My Skin Track pH by La Roche-Posay, the sensor is designed to create customised product regimens to improve skincare routines.
It was developed by L’Oréal in partnership with Epicore Biosystems and will be available at select La Roche-Posay dermatologists in the US.
JAB plans to acquire 20% additional stake in Coty for $1.75bn
JAB submitted an offer to acquire a 20% stake in American cosmetic firm Coty in a transaction valued at approximately $1.75bn.
The offer will see JAB purchase up to 150 million Coty shares at $11.65 per share in cash. The proposed acquisition will enable JAB to increase its total stake in the business from 40% to 60%.
The offer represents a premium of nearly 21%, based on the stock’s closing price on 11 February.

US-based company MD Complete developed a new skincare technology, NanoActive HA, to help enhance the appearance of the skin.
NanoActive HA is a nanoparticle designed to serve as an alternative to injectable fillers and improve skin plumping and firming.
The nanoparticle is the result of complexing a modified microscopic hyaluronic acid molecule with a mixture of amino acid and vitamin polysaccharide.

Dubbed The Marvelous Super Lustrous Collection, the limited-edition line-up features two curated lipstick sets.
Take The Stage Reds is the first set that features three tones, Fire & Ice, Certainly Red, and Cherries in the Snow.
The second Stand-Up Nudes set comprises three shades Pink Truffle, Blushing Mauve and Rum Raisin.

Lifestyle brand LA LA LEAF introduced a CBD-infused skincare line that can protect against inflammation, sun exposure, fine lines and wrinkles.
The skincare line includes Formula-1513 antioxidant cream (750mg CBD), Guayaquil hemp lotion (250mg CBD), Tru Athlete Sports gel (550mg CBD), and La La lips (50mg CBD).
The products are manufactured using 100% all-natural botanicals and an optimal amount of CBD, including rosehip seed oil, provitamin B5, white camphor bark oil, and meadowfoam seed oil.
Khiron gets Colombia health agency’s approval to sell CBD skincare products
Khiron Life Sciences secured approval from Invima, Colombia’s health agency, to sell three additional Kuida CBD skincare products.
The approval expanded on the seven products that were previously available at retail stores and online in Colombia.
Coty to buy 51% stake in Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics line for $600m
US-based multinational beauty company Coty agreed to acquire a 51% stake in Kylie Jenner’s make-up and skincare businesses for $600m.
The acquisition is anticipated to close in the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020.
