





Coty to buy 51% stake in Kylie Jenner’s cosmetics line for $600m
US-based multinational beauty company Coty agreed to acquire a 51% stake in Kylie Jenner’s make-up and skincare businesses for $600m.
The acquisition is anticipated to close in the third quarter of fiscal year 2020.
Kylie Jenner is an American media personality, socialite, businesswoman and model with more than 270 million followers across her personal and brand social media channels.
Givaudan reaches deal to buy cosmetics business of Indena
Swiss flavours and fragrances specialist Givaudan brokered a deal to purchase the cosmetics business of Italian botanical company Indena.
The deal is part of the Swiss firm’s 2020 strategy to bolster the capabilities of its Active Beauty business.
Givaudan plans to fund the deal from its existing resources.

The firm’s skincare line consists of skin toner, liquid moisturiser, and various essences.
It is claimed to have expertise in mixing amino acids and polysaccharides components. The South Korean government gave a special patent to Amipure for its expertise.
Advent to buy haircare brand Olaplex
Private equity firm Advent International agreed to acquire independent hair care brand Olaplex for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2014, Olaplex is a go-to brand for both stylists and consumers. The company sells its products through both the professional and retail channels.
Firmenich to form joint venture with MG International
Perfume and taste company Firmenich agreed to form a joint venture (JV) with Turkey-based MG International Fragrance Company.
Owned by the Gülçiçek family, MG International is a fragrance solutions provider to the customers across Turkey, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

South Korean cosmetic company SeongHwan Yegabi launched five scalp care products of the JIYU Luxuriant series.
This series is an extension of its natural cosmetics brand YEGABI.
YEGABI’s first scalp care line features five products items, comprising JIYU Luxuriant Shampoo, JIYU Luxuriant H1, JIYU Luxuriant H2, JIYU Luxuriant H3, and Scalp Ssuk Ssuk Mist.
Bath & Body Works releases 30 new Christmas-themed fragrances
American retail brand Bath & Body Works unveiled 30 new Christmas-themed fragrances and 600 new products, which include new and iconic holiday scents.
The Holiday Traditions collection featuring 16 fragrances includes Winter Candy Apple, Vanilla Bean Noel, Twisted Peppermint and two new scents Raspberry Sugar and Snowy Citrus Swirl, which will be available in body care.
Bath & Body Works is also releasing its collection of 20 shimmering scents that are available for both body and home.
