CBD cosmetics firm Bliss Molecules has formed a joint venture (JV) with J&B Investments to tap into CBD cosmetics and the farm to face markets worldwide.
The JV will allow Bliss to source industrial hemp through its Northern California farm instead of relying on outsourced cannabidiol.
With this move, Bliss aims to invest more in research and development (R&D), use CBD genetics to harvest specific terpenes and reach a wider global market, including Asia.
The JV allows J&B to harvest an agricultural commodity that helps soil growth, while generating biomass as a sustainable fuel source.
J&B Investments vice president Brian Brady said: “We’re thrilled to announce this joint venture.
“It helps us develop, market and expand our hemp operation in Northern California, while giving us a destination for high-quality, small batch CBD and CBG strains and allowing us in partnership with Bliss to operate vertically, from farm to face.”
WOC-owned market disruptor Bliss has successfully formulated CBD into cosmeceuticals to provide water-based products.
These products are conventionally not found in CBD product lineups.
Products include CBD tinctures and oils, facial and body moisturisers, sheet masks as well as Hyaluronic and Ferulic Acid Serums.
The company’s Niacinamide Turmeric Serum has been designed to brighten the face.
Furthermore, Bliss is expanding its CBD slate into the male grooming segment.
Bliss owner Bianca Prachyl said: “Spreading joy isn’t just for Hallmark anymore.
“I’m excited to embark on this, because neuroscience says it’s important to feel bliss and farm-to-face CBD has the amazing potential to share it globally when it’s most needed.”
