





Lime Crime introduces six shades of lip toppers
US-based makeup company Lime Crime has launched a range of six new shades of glittery lip toppers, Diamond Crushers.
The company claims that the products sparkle like crushed diamonds upon application. The shades include cloud pink/blue Choke, delirium purple Trip, cotton candy champagne Dope, rose gold on acid Lit, nightclub pink Strip, and chill mauve Fluke.
Available in a pale pink shining vial, the products are applied using a long glass wand and a doe-foot applicator.
Coty acquires hair styling firm ghd
US-based beauty products manufacturer Coty has acquired hair styling appliances firm good hair day (ghd).
The deal is expected to be immediately accretive to Coty’s earnings. ghd will be included into the professional beauty unit of Coty and will be an independent entity.
The company's operations will be overseen by its existing chief executive officer Anthony Davey and management team, who will report to Coty professional beauty president Sylvie Moreau.
Dermaflash and Perricone collaborate to provide anti-aging regimen

Skincare providers Dermaflash and Perricone MD have collaborated to develop a new limited edition at-home resurfacing device and anti-aging regimen Ultimate Exfoliation and Treatment System.
The collaboration claims to provide a 360° approach to skincare, combining the device and products required to attain and maintain optimal skin health at home.
The gentle edge and subtle sonic vibration of the Dermaflash device is claimed to painlessly remove dull, dead surface cells, built up debris, and peach fuzz. It provides smooth and glowing skin instantly after just one treatment.
Estée Lauder Companies to buy Too Faced
US-based cosmetics firm The Estée Lauder Companies has signed an agreement to acquire make-up brand Too Faced.
Too Faced is a specialty-multi and online brand founded in 1998 by Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson. The company is also currently being led by chief executive officer Eric Hohl.
The brand's Instagram page has more than 7.3 million followers. It is expected to reach net sales of more than $270m, which represents a growth of more than 70% for the year and 60% compounded annually over the past three years.
West Coast Shaving introduces new range of safety razors

US-based men's grooming products brand West Coast Shaving has introduced a new range of safety razors.
The razors are made of black-coated stainless steel and wood styles and are claimed to be low-cost and high-quality.
Aimed to help men get rid of the cartridge razors, this wet shaving range consists of 16 newly designed handles and four head options to provide a total of 64 different possible combinations.
evolis unveils new line for hair loss reversal and prevention
Australia-based haircare brand evolis has unveiled new line designed to reverse and prevent hair loss, REVERSE.
evolis says the new line is clinically proven to minimise hair loss, improve density, and enhance rate of growth. REVERSE is claimed to be the first clinically validated topical hair loss product in more than 30 years.
In 1994, scientists at the University of California discovered that the FGF5 gene was responsible for the generation of the FGF5 protein, reportedly a root cause of hair loss and a negative regulator of growth. It was also found that the absence of FGF5 leads to growth of unusually long hair.
MyChelle launches Perfect C PRO Speed Peel

US-based skincare firm MyChelle Dermaceuticals has launched Perfect C PRO Speed Peel to its line of fruit puree skin treatments.
Perfect C PRO Speed Peel is developed with a 25% citrus fruit puree of lemons, tangerines, and grapefruits. It also contains a 10% dose of stable L-Ascorbic Acid, which is said to be the most active form of Vitamin C.
MyChelle claimed that Perfect C PRO Speed Peel provides youthful, soft, glowing skin.
Edgewell Personal Care buys Bulldog Skincare Holdings
US-based Edgewell Personal Care has acquired UK-based men's grooming firm Bulldog Skincare Holdings.
Bulldog Skincare was founded in 2006. Its products are sold in more than 7,000 locations and include moisturisers, face washes, scrubs, balms, shaving gels and creams, body washes, lip balms, and lotions.
Edgewell Personal Care's commercial international vice-president Colin Hutchison said: "As a challenger company in men's grooming, Edgewell has continuously pressed beyond category conventions and leaders to bring unique innovation to market for the benefit of our customers, consumers, and Edgewell shareholders.
Clairol introduces MyShade app for easy hair colour selection
Hair colour products provider Clairol has introduced MyShade, which aims to make the hair colour selection process easier for users by allowing them a virtual try on of any shade before making a purchase.
Clairol's new application is available for iOS and Android devices and provides users with an opportunity to scan any permanent at-home hair colouring product to digitally try it on and match it to the closest Clairol shade.
MyShade utilises the patented hair colouration and shade matching technology by an augmented reality technology provider, ModiFace.
Beauty Elite Group acquires FUEL Hair
US-based Beauty Elite Group has acquired haircare products and styling firm FUEL Hair.
FUEL Hair will continue to operate by distributing products and formulations through salons, but stylist education will be provided by the new team.
Beauty Elite Group's owner and chief executive officer Basim Shami said: "As a company looking to grow our hair and cosmetics acquisitions and licenses, FUEL Hair is a fantastic addition to our portfolio of professional brands.
