Global fragrance maker Eurofragance has completed the first stage of upgrading its perfume production plant in Mexico as part of its strategic development and innovation plan.
The upgrade started in June this year and involved the establishment of a new 85m2 warehouse to increase its storage capacity to 45tn.
The upgrade also includes investment in a 22tn tank of dipropylene glycol to reduce electricity costs and optimise time and movement in the facility.
In addition, the company has revamped the washing area and made other general improvements to the plant.
Eurofragance’s Mexico, Central America and Caribbean general manager Andrés Pagés said: “The development of this project is a clear investment in expanding the business in Latin America.
“After the investment made in 2015, this renovation confirms that our Mexican plant is still growing.”
Eurofragance also plans to expand the quality control area, enhance washing equipment and install a cold room to store part of the stock at the facility during the next phase of the upgrade.
The fragrance maker has introduced its new Euro-MC range, which is designed to neutralise smells of tobacco smoke.
